Gerhard Feyerabend

Gerhard Fritz Franz Feyerabend (29 April 1898 – 6 November 1965) was a highly decorated Generalleutnant in the Wehrmacht during World War II who commanded several divisions. He was also a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross. The Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership. Gerhard Feyerabend was captured by Soviet troops in 1945, and was held until 1947.
Gerhard Feyerabend married Erna Reschke (born 16 June 1901) in Bratricken on 18 July 1924. Together the couple had a daughter Marie-Louise born on 9 May 1935. His wife and his ten-year-old daughter were both killed by the advancing Red Army on 30 January 1945 during the occupation of East Prussia.
